This Privacy Policy describes how Hisaab ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use our Android application, Hisaab ("App").

• Transaction details: This includes date, amount, category, payee, description, and any optional notes you enter.
• Account information: This includes account names and balances.
• Settings preferences: This includes your chosen currency, date format, and other user preferences.

We do not collect or store any of the following information on our servers:

• The content of your transactions (i.e., what you bought or who you paid).
• Your voice recordings used for voice-based expense entry.
• Any other personally identifiable information (PII).

Google Analytics and Firebase

We use Google Analytics with Firebase to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the App. This data does not include any PII and is used only for aggregate analysis. 

Google Speech Recognition

If you use the voice-based transaction entry feature, your voice recordings are processed by Google's speech recognition software on your device. The recordings are never transmitted to our servers or any other third party.

Google Drive Backups and Restore (Optional)

The App offers an optional feature to back up your data to Google Drive. If you choose to use this feature, your data will be encrypted before being uploaded to Google Drive. We do not access or use your backed-up data for any other purpose.

Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal information with any third parties except as required by law.

Data Retention

We will retain your data for as long as you use the App. You can delete your data at any time through the App settings.

Security

We prioritize the security of your data. The App implements measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
